@ILLINIVBALL PULLS IN THREE B1G WEEKLY AWARDS
After sweeping through the Illini Classic over the weekend, the No. 8 Fighting Illini were honored with three individual weekly awards by the Big Ten Conference. Illini Classic MVP Michelle Strizak  headlines the group by earning Big Ten Player of the Week, Brandi Donnelly  was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and Jordyn Poulter  is the first Big Ten Freshman of the Week of the year. They become the first ever Illini trio to earn three awards for the same week since the Big Ten began doling out Big Ten Freshman of the Week in 2009.

Orange Krush registration is now available to University of Illinois students interested in season tickets for the upcoming Fighting Illini men's basketball season. The organization has overhauled its membership structure and registration process over the summer to make the group easier to join and more affordable than ever. This year's members will be the first to experience the renovated State Farm Center, which has seen its courtside Orange Krush seating expand by roughly 50 percent from about 600 seats to approximately 900 seats.

@ILLINIMXC & @ILLINIWXC RANKED AMONG PRESEASON BEST
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its preseason polls this afternoon with @IlliniMXC checking in at number five. The Orange and Blue begin the 2015 campaign ranked in the same spot they finished in at the Midwest Regional in Peoria, Illinois last November. The team returns their top runner from last year's regional, Ian Barnett , along with veterans Paul Zeman  and Dylan Lafond . The Illini add transfers Jack Driggs  and Sean Pengelly  along with a freshman class that includes Jesse Reiser  and Zach Dale  who were the first two finishers at the IHSA state meet last fall.

@IlliniWXC will begin the season No. 8 in the Midwest Region. The No. 8 ranking moves the squad up two spots from last year's 10th place finish at the Peoria regional. The team returns their top-five performers from the 2014 meet, forming a veteran core that hopes to move the Illini towards an appearance at the national meet.  The Illini are one of the four Big Ten schools in the Midwest Region top-15, with Minnesota garnering the highest ranking at No. 2. Northwestern and Iowa round out the four, ranking 10th and 11th respectively.

Illini Men's Golf head coach Mike Small is competing at the Illinois PGA Championships this week at Medinah Country Club. Small is an 11-time winner of the event, he posted a  54-hole-total of 200 (67-67-66) to win last year's title. Follow Small at this year's event here.Â
