@ILLINIWBB IN FRANCE GAME 3: RICE LEADS ILLINI TO WIN OVER BRETIGNY
Paris, France – Led by freshman Cierra Rice, the Fighting Illini posted a 91-52 victory over Bretigny Select on Friday (Aug. 14). Rice finished with 23 points for the Illini, including going a perfect 13-for-13 from the line. Friday's win concludes play in France for the Illini, however the team will travel to Lyon and Nice before returning to Champaign, Ill., on Aug. 20.

@ILLINIMBB TOURS OMAHA BEACH IN NORMANDY
The Fighting Illini went on a 3-hour guided tour of Omaha Beach today. The team learned about the D-Day landing by U.S. troops in the Normandy Region of France on June 6, 1944. Following the tour, Mike LaTulip talked with Malcolm Hill about the Normandy tour and the impact it had on the team.

@ILLINIFOOTBALL FAN APPRECIATION DAY TODAY
Fighting Illini football fans will have an opportunity to meet and get autographs from the 2015 student-athletes and head coach Tim Beckman on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 5:15-6:15 p.m. in the Great West Hall at Memorial Stadium. Admission for the event is free and parking will be available in the northwest lot of State Farm Center free of charge. Following the autograph session, the team will host an open scrimmage in Memorial Stadium, slated to begin around 7:15 p.m. This will be the only chance to see the 2015 Fighting Illini in action on their home field before the regular season kicks off in September.

The Fighting Illini wrapped up their first week at Camp Rantoul with a 2-hour practice in shorts, shoulder pads and helmets on Friday morning. The workout followed a similar script, starting off with individual work, then flowing into special teams, 7-on-7 and finally team situations. It was the 11th practice of training camp and the seventh at Camp Rantoul, which is at the former Chanute Air Force Base 16 miles north of Champaign-Urbana.Â

Illinois Soccer and head coach Janet Rayfield announce the addition of Allie Osmundson to the soccer staff. Osmundson joins the staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2015 season. Osmundson brings with her four years of coaching experience in both men's and girl's soccer.
