Live Scoring

URBANA, Ill. - The month of April has treated the Fighting Illini women's tennis team well as the Illinois squad has posted a perfect 5-0 record in the month. Starting on April 2, the Orange and Blue unit has won all five of its matches, including four Big Ten contests. The Illini enter the final weekend of the regular season with a 12-9 overall mark and a 4-5 reading in league play.

Sunday's match against Iowa will double as Illinois' "Senior Day" to pay tribute to a pair of seniors that have been instrumental for the program over the past four seasons.

THE HISTORY

Illinois and Nebraska have met just six times in program history. The programs are knotted at 3-3 in the series. Last season, the Illini upended the Huskers in Urbana by a 4-2 decision during the regular season and then ended the Big Red's conference tournament run in a 4-0 rout.

All-time against Iowa, the Fighting Illini lead the series by a 26-25 reading. In the last meeting between the Big Ten opponents, the Orange and Blue fell by the slimmest of margins in a 4-3 decision.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

Nebraska finished 8-17; 0-11 last season. The Huskers are out to a 12-10 start on the 2015 campaign with a Big Ten mark of 0-9.

The Hawkeye crew is off to an 8-11 start on the 2015 season. Last season, Iowa finished 11-13 after falling to Michigan in the second round of the Big Ten Conference Tournament by a 4-1 decision. Iowa is 2-7 in league play currently.

HEATING UP

The Illini have four players currently riding five-match winning streaks entering the weekend. Madie Baillon, Jerricka Boone, Melissa Kopinski and Louise Kwong have each claimed their last five decisions. Kopinski and Kwong have each posted a 13-6 record to this point. Boone is 10-6 on the season, while Baillon enters with a 9-5 record.

On the doubles side, Kopinski and Kwong have teamed up for a 12-4 overall mark on court one and have won their last three decisions.

ONE FOR THE BOOKS

Kopinski currently sits in fifth place on the career doubles wins list with 84 wins. Three more wins (87) would create a three-way tie for third on the list. Additionally, in 2012-13 Kopinski became one of four athletes to win 28 doubles matches in a single season, the seventh best mark in the books.

SENIOR STATUS

Julia Jamieson and Kopinski have played a total combined 375 matches entering their last weekend of action at the Atkins Tennis Center. Kopinski boasts a singles line of 72-53 along with three unfinished matches, while in doubles she owns an impressive 84-40 mark along with 11 unfinished matches. The 2013 All-American has played 263 total matches as an Illini to this point.

Jamieson comes in at 112 total matches. Her singles line reads a solid 34-29 with one unfinished match, while she is 28-19 in doubles with an additional unfinished match.

TOUGH COMPETITION

In the ITA's April 14 Team Rankings, nine Big Ten teams can be found in the top-75. Michigan (14), Ohio State (17), Northwestern (27), Purdue (34), Indiana (48), Michigan State (50), Illinois (51), Penn State (52) and Maryland (68) all made appearances in the April 14 rankings.
