Hey Illini Fans!

Thanksgiving is fast approaching which means pre-season is winding down.  The 2016 season will soon be upon us!  We have been very busy both inside and outside of the gym.  In the gym, we are putting our routines together and polishing our skill sets.  Our first intrasquad was held on November 1^st. After the intrasquad, we determined the areas needing improvement and then got back to work in the gym.  We have been doing many partner assignments to prepare for the upcoming season.  These assignments are not only fun, but also help us build personal accountability for the team's performance. Everything is starting to come together as we approach our Thanksgiving intrasquad and the Orange and Blue Exhibition!  Make sure to mark your calendars, the exhibition is December 6th at Huff Hall, and we look forward to a great turnout again this year.

There haven't been many football games on campus lately, which has given us more time to support other teams each weekend and do plenty of bonding.  The Pink Out volleyball game on October 30th was a great time, as we won over Michigan State.  This past weekend we spent time with the "Spike Squad" and stood in the student section as volleyball battled it out with Northwestern. 

We have been involved in a lot of volunteering activities these past weeks.  We went to Robeson Elementary for reading night this past Thursday.  It always brings back good memories when I read some of my childhood favorites to the kids.  We have also been to Kenwood Elementary multiple times.  We help kids with school work on Friday mornings and a few of the girls had a good time at Kenwood's trunk or treat event passing out candy to all the little trick or treaters. 

Registration for our spring 2016 classes is complete which is another sign that season is fast approaching.  Now that midterms are well behind us, we can begin looking forward to Thanksgiving break and final exams.  This semester is flying by!
