Senior DB Clayton Fejedelem had a career-high 19 tackles against Wisconsin, tied for the most by a B1G player and are the sixth-most by an FBS player in a game this season. It's also the most by an Illini since J Leman had 20 vs. Missouri on September 1, 2007.
A former Division III star and Illinois walk-on, Fejedelem is now on scholarship and leading the team in tackles during his senior season. His 10.6 tackles per game ranks second in the Big Ten and 11th in the nation and he also has hauled in interceptions, including one in the end zone against Wisconsin.
Prior to his breakout senior season, Fejedelem put in hours of hard work in the offseason, as you can see in this all-access training camp feature from Camp Rantoul.
