KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Two rounds of the College of Charleston-hosted Palmetto Intercollegiate are in the books from the Turtle Point Golf Course, with the Illinois women's golf team in a share of third place after two days of action. UI carded a team mark of 300 on the second day of play and holds a third-best score of 590 overall.

Two Fighting Illini golfers are in the top 10 of the leaderboard, as Chayanid Prapassarangkul is tied for seventh at one-over par and Bing Singhsumalee shares ninth place at two-over par. Prapassarangkul opened the round with an early birdie but accumulated four bogeys across the rest of the frame to finish with a day two mark of 75. Singhsumalee posted the low round on the day for the Orange and Blue, carding a 73 that included a trio of birdies.

Sophomore Grace Park sits in a tie for 27th entering the final round of competition from Kiawah Island, South Carolina, following rounds of 74 and 75, respectively, to open play. Park carded four birdies for the second-consecutive day and is tied for the most birdies across the individual field with eight.

After opening with a score of 73 in the first round, Stephanie Miller turned in a 77 on day two for a total of 150 (+6) to tie her for 34th on the individual board. Miller opened the second round on the back-nine holes but ran into some trouble and entered the front-nine at six-over par. A pair of late birdies helped Miller to go one-under par on the second half of the day.

Dana Gattone posted a second-round mark of 78 to bring her two-day score to a 153. The sophomore Illini posted a pair of birdies on the front-nine.

No. 40 Furman took over the lead and currently sits just one stroke above par, while No. 48 Campbell dropped to second place with a mark of 582.
