The 2015-16 Fighting Illini men's basketball schedule poster has been unveiled by the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. The poster features
John Groce
's entire squad.
Fans can pick up the poster at the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration Building on campus or order it online here. It will be available for download as a desktop wallpaper later this week.
The Fighting Illini open the season with five games in Springfield, Ill., at the Prairie Capital Convencion Center while the current phase of the State Farm Center renovation is completed. The first game in the renovated arena will be on Dec. 2 when Notre Dame comes to campus for the B1G/ACC Challenge. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now.

URBANA, Ill. – Following a weekend away from action, the Illinois women's tennis team returns to competition as the squad heads north for the Michigan-hosted USTA/ ITA Midwest Regional. The event will take place indoors at UM's Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Action will span six days beginning on Thursday, Oct. 22 and lasting through Tuesday, Oct. 27, when the singles main draw championship will be played.

HARDY EARNS WEEKLY CONFERENCE HONORS

Nick Hardy
has been named Big Ten Golfer of the Week as announced on Wednesday, Oct. 21, by the league office. Hardy is coming off of a third place finish at the prestigious Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, where the Illini competed against some of the nation's best collegiate golf programs. The honor is the first for Hardy in his career and the third for an Illini golfer this season.

With yesterday, Oct. 21, 2015, being "Back to the Future Day," the day Doc Brown took Marty McFly to in Back to the Future II, we noticed some interesting parallels to other key dates in Marty's time traveling.
Nov. 12, 1955 – The day of the Enchantment Under the Sea dance and the Hill Valley clock tower lightning strike, the 16th-ranked Fighting Illini football team traveled to Madison and defeated the Badgers, 17-14.
Oct. 26, 1985 – The day Marty McFly and Doc Brown started traveling through time, the Fighting Illini defeated Wisconsin, 38-25, on Homecoming at Memorial Stadium.
Oct. 21, 2015 – "The future" in Back to the Future II. Later this week, the Fighting Illini host Wisconsin for Homecoming this (Saturday, Oct. 24, 2:30 pm CT on BTN).
