In the victory over Middle Tennessee State last weekend, the Fighting Illini hosted cheerleading squads and dance teams for Cheer and Dance Day.  The annual event brought in nearly 400 cheerleaders and dancers from the Midwest area.

Included in the Cheer and Dance Day package was not only a ticket to the game but also the opportunity to perform at halftime.  The Fighting Illini Cheerleading squad choreographed the halftime routine for the teams to learn prior to the game and then the squad led the clinic during pregame on Saturday morning.  

After such a successful event, the Fighting Illini Cheer teams have decided to expand Cheer and Dance Day to men's basketball.  More information will be released in the future but fans are encouraged to reach out to Chris Tucci (217.244.9259 or ctucci@illinois.edu) with any questions.
