Spring Practice Schedule
CHICAGO - The Illini moved their sixth spring practice off campus to their home away from home, Chicago, on Friday as Illinois practiced at Gately Stadium on Chicago's south side in front of a number of fans, friends, family, high school coaches and recruits. The two-hour, 30-minute workout under the lights included a number of team situations and featured a quick tempo.
A good group of former players on hand included Kurt Kittner, Juice Williams, Howard Griffith, Graham Pocic and Chris James, among others. It marked the second straight year the Illini have held a spring practice in Chicago at Gately Stadium.
Illinois has the weekend off before holding three more practices on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week prior to spring break. The squad will then have two more weeks of spring practice leading up to the the annual spring game on Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m.
