CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Several exciting promotions are on tap for each Fighting Illini home football game this season, including the return of the Illini Walk and Illini Street Fest (prior to each home game) and "Paint the Stadium Orange" vs. Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 28. Details of the main promotions are below, while the full 2013 promotions schedule can be found at the bottom of this page and here.
Illini Walk
The Illini Walk will start two-and-a-half hours prior to game time at the corner of First Street and Kirby Avenue, serving as the official kickoff for Street Fest at each home game. The football team, led by the Marching Illini, the Illini cheerleading squad, Illinettes and Illini Dance Team, will walk through the Street Fest area down First Street to Irwin Drive, then along the north end of Memorial Stadium. Following Illini Walk, the Illinettes and Illini Dance Team will perform briefly for tailgaters as Street Fest gets underway.

Illini Street Fest
During each Illini Street Fest, a free, public concert will be held at the main stage, which will be located at the corner of First and Irwin facing south. Different live entertainment will perform each game day prior to kickoff. In addition to the music, Illini Street Fest will feature several family-friendly, free activities at each game, such as inflatable and interactive games, face painting and much more. Vendors also will be available for fans to purchase food and drink. In addition, an Illini information booth will be set up for fans to get posters, plus Kids Club, I Fund and other Illinois Athletics information. At selected games, Illinois athletic teams will make appearances and sign autographs.
NOTE: First Street, between Kirby Avenue and Stadium Drive, will be closed prior to each game for Illini Street Fest. Only patrons with a Lot 36 or 37 parking pass will be allowed to enter from the north on First Street prior to the game. Patrons with a Lot 31 parking pass must enter off of Oak Street. After the game, First Street will become one way going north, between Kirby Avenue and Green Street.

Illini Fest at Chicago Homecoming
Fighting Illini Athletics, along with the University of Illinois Foundation and University of Illinois Alumni Association, will be hosting a free "Illini Fest" tailgate event prior to the Sept. 14 Chicago Homecoming game at Soldier Field.
Fans will be able to enjoy live music, food, interactive games and much more (see list below) next to Soldier Field on the southeast lawn four hours prior to the 5 p.m. game between Illinois and Washington. The event also will feature on-site vendors selling food and drinks, plus appearances from the Marching Illini, cheerleaders, and past Illini greats, providing the perfect tailgate experience for the 125,000+ alumni in the Chicagoland area as well as all Illinois football fans. Tickets for the Chicago Homecoming game are on sale now.

Weekly Youth Clinics
The University of Illinois football team will hold weekly youth football clinics on Thursday evenings during the season for kids eighth grade and under. The events will run for one hour each week starting at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 through Oct. 31, except for Sept. 19, which is Illinois' open date in the 2013 schedule.
A different position coach and his group of Illini players will run each clinic, incorporating as many position-specific drills and situations as possible while focusing on general football skills.
Registration for the clinics is required and can be done on site or in advance by filling out the printable application and bringing it to the clinic. However, please note that a parent's signature is required on the registration form. Free parking will be available in the northeast lot of the State Farm Center. Parents and children should enter on the east side of the Stadium. Reference this map with parking and check-in information.
