Illinois-Louisiana Tech Game Set for Prime Time

April 24, 2012

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday 14 prime time games that will be aired by its television partners in 2012. Among those announced was Illinois' game against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 22 at Memorial Stadium. The Illini and Bulldogs will kick-off under the lights at 7 p.m. CDT on the Big Ten Network. It marks the first game time announced for Illinois' 2012 season.

The 2012 Fighting Illini will be led by new head coach Tim Beckman, who came to Illinois after three successful seasons at Toledo. Illinois is coming off bowl victories in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history after victories in the 2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl and 2010 Texas Bowl against UCLA and Baylor, respectively. The Fighting Illini have seven home games in 2012, starting with the season-opener at Memorial Stadium against Western Michigan on Sept. 1. Season tickets start at just $99 and are on sale now.
