KALAMAZOO, Mich. - No. 19 Illinois earned its second road victory of the season, downing Western Michigan 195.400-194.025 on Sunday at University Arena. The Illini edged the Broncos on three events and took home four individual titles, including a victory by junior Alina Weinstein in the all-around with a 39.250. The Orange and Blue scored over a 195 for the seventh time this year and had a season high on vault.

"It was a total team effort today," head coach Kim Landrus said. "Alina and Kelsey both did a great job on all four events, and we got some solid performances across the board. Liz started off the meet for us on bars and had a nice showing on beam. Jaclyn had a very good meet with three solid routines and Elise performed well on both her events. Our landings on vault also were much better than they have been."

Junior Jaclyn Kantecki won her second bars title of the season with a 9.825, leading Illinois to a 48.825 on the first event of the afternoon. Weinstein and sophomore Sarah Fiedler tied for third at 9.775 followed by sophomore Elizabeth McNabb with a 9.750 and senior Kelsey Joannides with a 9.700.

The Illini recorded a season high on vault with a 49.000, paced by a Weinstein's 9.850 in the top spot, marking her second crown on the event this year. Joannides tied for second with a 9.825 while junior Elise Gill was fourth at 9.800. Kantecki (9.775) and sophomore Amber See (9.750) rounded out the scoring.

Gill and Weinstein each scored a 9.800 on floor to tie for second on the event, as the Illini scored a 48.575. Joannides and See tied for fourth at 9.775 while Eberly wrapped up the scoring with a 9.425.

On balance beam, Illinois swept the top four spots on its way to a 49.000 to close out the meet. Joannides captured her sixth beam title in 10 meets with a 9.875. Weinstein was the runner-up with a 9.825 followed by See in third at 9.800 and McNabb in fourth with a 9.775. Both Fiedler and Kantecki tied for fifth at 9.725.

Joannides scored over a 39 in the all-around for the seventh time this season and took second with a 39.175.
