CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced a special Illinois Football ticket offer to celebrate the second year of the FREE Fighting Illini Kids Club. All Kids Club members will receive one FREE ticket to the Illinois Football game Saturday, September 3 at 2:30 p.m. against Arkansas State. All additional tickets purchased with this offer will be $10.
Registration for the Club is free for the first 5,000 kids from the state of Illinois. 3,400 slots have been filled by members who renewed from the previous 2010-2011 season, but spaces remain available for new members.
"We are excited to kick-off the second year of the Fighting Illini Kids Club program with this amazing football ticket offer," Assistant Athletics Director for Sales & Marketing Jenny Larson said. "This past year, the Kids Club allowed Illinois Athletics to connect with families from across the entire state in a special way, and we are thrilled to be able to expand that initiative with the first ever football opportunity exclusively for the Club."
New members may register for free at FightingIllini.com. Membership is open to any child eighth grade or younger, from the state of Illinois. An email will be sent within 24 hours of registration containing the special football ticket order form and new member numbers. Registration must be completed by Thursday, August 18 to take advantage of the football ticket offer.
The free Fighting Illini Kids Club membership includes a membership card for free admission to all regular season home events for Illinois volleyball, women's basketball, soccer, gymnastics, golf, wrestling, track, cross country, women's swimming & diving, baseball, and softball. It also includes three newsletters mailed throughout the year and additional e-mails including news and special Fighting Illini promotions. Club members will have the opportunity to purchase a Fighting Illini Kids Club T-shirt if they wish to display their Fighting Illini spirit.
Out-of-state kids have an opportunity to join the Fighting Illini Kid's Club through a paid membership. Out-of-state plans include the membership card, Olympic sports admissions, newsletters, e-mails, and a Fighting Illini Kids Club T-shirt. The cost is $30.
