CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - University of Illinois senior-to-be and U.S. National team member Tyler Mizoguchi has been tabbed to compete at the Puerto Rico Cup in San Juan, July 8-10, while Illinois head coach Justin Spring and Grigor Chalikyan were selected as coaches for the six-man team that also includes Dylan Akers, Adrian de los Angeles, Andrew Elkind, Sam Mikulak and Brandon Wynn.

The Puerto Rico Cup is one of three international events on tap for U.S. National team members this summer. The format for the meet will consist of one day of team competition and all-around, followed by two days of individual events. For the team competition, five gymnasts will compete on each event, with the top four scores contributing to the team score.

"This is a great honor and a good stepping stone to be selected as the head coach for a National team competition," Spring said. "This is also a great opportunity for Tyler to get good exposure as we approach the upcoming Olympic year. We are both very excited to represent the Illini and our country."
