MADISON, Wis. - After 36 holes of play at the Big Ten Championships the Illinois (616) women's golf team is tenth out of eleven teams after shooting rounds of 309-307 on the par-72, 6,224-yard University Ridge Golf Course.
Sophomore Hailey Koschmann (151) once again led the Illini individually and sits in a tie for 24th after rounds of 73-78, seven-over par. Just a shot of off Koschmann's mark is junior Raquel Hopton (152), who after shooting rounds of 79-77, is in a tie for 27th at eight-over par.
Sophomore Samantha Sloan (156) had rounds of 79-77 and is in a tie for 46th at 12-over par. Sophomore Kaitlyn Wampler (157) sits one shot behind Sloan after rounds of 81-76, 13-over par and in a tie for 49th. Rounding out the Illini are sophomores Maureen Liddy (164), who shot rounds of 83-81 and is 20-over par, and Katelin Dilger (165), who had rounds of 84-81 and is 21-over par.
No. 8 Purdue leads the team standings after shooting a 36-hole total of 571, which is the second lowest 36-hole team round for women's collegiate championship play at University Ridge. No. 13 Michigan is currently in second, followed by No. 19 Ohio State, No. 64 Wisconsin, and No. 36 Northwestern.
Michigan's Ashley Bauer leads all individuals after rounds of 74 and 65, five-under par.
