CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -
The Fighting Illini Dugout Club is sponsoring a fan bus trip to St. Louis for the Battle at Busch on April 7 when Illinois plays Missouri at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. The trip will provide fans in the Champaign-Urbana area an easy method of transportation to and from St. Louis and a chance to see the Fighting Illini play in a big-league ballpark.
The cost for adults is only $35, and children eighth grade and under can ride for $15. The cost includes a ticket to the game, which comes preloaded with $5 in Cards Cash - which can be used at any cash register at Busch Stadium, including concession stands, kiosks and the Team Store - a buy one, get one free ticket offer from the Cardinals, and round-trip transportation to St. Louis on a luxurious Peoria Charter bus.
Fans should make checks payable to the Dugout Club and payment can be left with the receptionist on the first floor of the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration Building or with Kelly O'Neill in the Illinois marketing and promotions department. Checks also can be mailed to Kelly O'Neill, Bielfeldt Athletic Administration Building, 1700 S. Fourth St., Champaign, IL 61820.
Those fans going on the trip can park for free in the northeast lot of the Assembly Hall on the corner of Fourth St. and Kirby Ave., and buses will leave from the northeast lot at 3 p.m. on April 7. Fans can register for the trip here.
