Westfield, Ind. - Illinois sophomore Nora Lucas has qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Golf Championship. The native of Glenview, Ill., and graduate of Loyola Academy fired a two-under par 69 at the 6,200-yard par 71 Wood Wind Golf Club in Westfield, Ind.

Lucas, who was the top finishing freshman at the 2009 Big Ten Championship, won the qualifying event by four shots over second-place Allyssa Ferrell of Edgerton, Wis. She advances to the U.S. Women's Amateur on Aug. 3-9 at Old Warson Country Club in St. Louis.
