CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Illinois women's tennis team won the Outstanding Team GPA Award at the Fighting Illini Scholar-Athlete Awards Reception, held at the Colonnades Club at Memorial Stadium on April 28. Head coach Michelle Dasso's squad was the top female varsity sport, with a cumulative GPA of 3.475.

The Scholar-Athlete Reception is an annual event that recognizes graduating student-athletes and others that have excelled both athletically and academically. The Illinois men's cross country team took home the male honors with a 3.222 cumulative average.
