Former Illini OL Xavier Fulton talks about his training in preparation for this week's NFL Combine | LISTEN
Four University of Illinois football players -- Vontae Davis, Will Davis, Xavier Fulton and Derek Walker -- will have a chance to showcase their talents in a series of drills, tests and interviews for more than 600 scouts, coaches and general managers at the 2009 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Ind., Feb. 18-24. The players will be put through measurable workouts, which include the 40-yard dash, bench press (225 pounds), vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill and the shuttle run. The athletes also will workout for scouts in position-specific drills. For more information about the workouts and what scouts are looking for log on to the NFL Combine website.
SCHEDULE: Fulton will be the first Illini to work out, with the offensive line drills scheduled for Sat. Feb. 21. Will Davis and Walker will be up with the defensive linemen Mon., Feb. 23, and Vontae Davis and the defensive backs are set for the final day Tues., Feb. 24.
