BEIJING, China - Former Illini catcher Chris Robinson and his Canadian teammates dropped a tough 7-6 decision to gold-medal favorite Cuba despite outhitting the Cubans 9-5. Robinson had a tough day at the plate, going 0-for-3, but Canada was led by outfielder Nick Weglarz' 4-for-4 day that included two home runs.

Canada falls to 1-1 in the preliminary round of the Olympics, with a win over China earlier in the tournament. The Canadians next face South Korea, who upset Team U.S.A. on Wednesday, Friday at 5 a.m. (CT).
