ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Former University of Illinois golfer Seul Ki Park fired a 1-under 71 Saturday in the final round of the 2008 Illinois Women's Open to finish in sole possession of second place in one of the state's premier golf events. Park, a 2008 Illinois graduate, shot rounds of 74, 69 and 71 (214) to finish as the top professional, six shots behind winner Aimee Neff.
A pair of future Fighting Illini finished in the top-15. Freshman-to-be Hailey Koschmann had an even-par 72 in the final round to jump from 16th into a tie for 10th place (75-76-72-223), while fellow incoming freshman Samantha Sloan finished in a tie for 13th after a final round 77 (75-73-77-225).
Stephanie Mory (73-80-78-231), a 2008 UI graduate, finished in 24th place and sophomore Raquel Hopton (80-73-80-233) was just behind in 26th place. Freshman-to-be Nora Lucas (77-77-81-235) finished 30th.
