Match Against Princeton Rescheduled for Wednesday

PALMAS-HUMACAO, Puerto Rico - The No. 61-ranked Illinois women's tennis team's match against the Princeton Tigers has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 19, at 9 a.m. CT, in case of forecasted rain that could hit on Thursday, the originally scheduled match date, announced head coach Michelle Dasso. The match will still take place at the Villas in Palmas-Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Illinois now will finish its trip to Puerto Rico with a match against Princeton on Wednesday before returning to the states to take on Big Ten foe Michigan State on Sunday, March 23 in East Lansing, Mich., to end its break festivities.

The Illini (5-5) are coming off a hard-fought loss to No. 23 Notre Dame, while Princeton (6-5) and Illinois will meet for the first time in history during their Thursday contest. The Spartans (8-5) will be opening Big Ten play the March 22-23 weekend, first hosting Purdue before Illinois comes to town on Sunday.

Illinois' match against Princeton will not offer live scoring from Puerto Rico, but a full recap will be available on the official home of Illinois women's tennis, fightingillini.com, as soon as scores are reported. A full recap of the match against Michigan State also will be available following the conclusion of the match, with live scoring also not offered for the dual in East Lansing.
