Updated Las Vegas Invitational Brackets 
Eighth-seeded Jordan Blanton (184) finished in seventh place at the 27th Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, defeating Pittsburgh's 11th-seeded Zac Thomusseit, 7-5. Tenth-seeded Ryan Prater also reached the seventh-place bout at 141 but was forced to take eighth place when he medically forfeited his bout.
Blanton once again came out firing against Thomusseit, scoring a takedown 53 seconds in. Thomusseit notched a reversal 43 seconds later, but Blanton quickly escaped before notching a takedown with 17 seconds left in the period and riding out the Panther for a 5-2 lead. Blanton started down in the second and escaped, the only scoring in the period. Thomusseit started down in the third and escaped with 45 seconds left in the bout. He scored a takedown with five seconds left, but Blanton got the riding-time point and won, 7-5.
Coming up at 7 p.m. (CT) will be the championship and third-place matches, where No. 3 and top-seeded Jimmy Kennedy will take on Boise State's No. 8 and third-seeded Andrew Hochstrasser in the 133-pound title match.
