Wildcat Fall Invitational Leaderboard
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Illinois finished the second round of the Wildcat Fall Invitational in seventh place at the University Club's 6,157-yard par 72 Big Blue Course. The Orange and Blue notched a season-low 304 on Sunday, giving the team a total of 615 through 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament. The final round will begin tomorrow, Oct. 1, at 8:30 a.m.
Senior Seul Ki Park (74-73-147) vaulted into the top ten, tying her season-low round with a one-over par 73. Park tallied five birdies on the day to move up into a tie for eighth. Senior Stephanie Mory (86-76-162) improved by 12 shots from her round on Saturday. The Haslett, Mich., native fired a four-over 76 for the second best round of the day for the Illini. Senior Kristine Cook (84-77-161) shot seven strokes better than Saturday with her five-over 77, tying her for 54th. Cook carded the team's first eagle of the season with a two on the 360-yard par 4 sixth hole. Senior Kristin Kallergis (76-78-154) carded a six-over 78, tying her for 30th. Senior Casey Burden's round of 82 did not count toward Illinois' score.
No. 15 Alabama (292-290-582) maintained a five stroke lead over second place No. 5 Florida (295-292-587). Arkansas (298-301-599) finished the day in third, three strokes ahead of South Florida (301-301-602) in fourth. Host No. 23 Kentucky (301-305-606) rounded out the top five.
Florida's Whitney Myers leads all individuals with a seven-under 137. Alabama boasts the other two competitors in red numbers. Courtney Harter ranks second with a six-under 138, while teammate Camilla Lennarth ranks third with a five-under 139.
