Illinois Football Season Ticket Sales Taking Off

April 5, 2007

Season ticket sales for the 2007 University of Illinois football season hit yet another milestone today as new horseshoe ticket sales reached 5,000. Tickets have been on sale for less than one month, and have already eclipsed the halfway mark.

"In the ticket office we are getting incredible feedback regarding our fans' excitement about the upcoming season," said Jason Heggemeyer, Director of the Athletic Ticket Office. "We are averaging close to 250 tickets per day, which is great to see. We encourage everyone who wants to take advantage of this great offer to act soon."

Due to the Memorial Stadium renovations, Illinois introduced special "Construction Prices" for the 2007 football season. The pricing structure offers a $60 season ticket for the horseshoe section of the stadium as well as a $214 season ticket in the main stands, a savings of $54 off single-game tickets. Student tickets are also on sale for a $60 season value ($85 for Block "I").

Season tickets are currently on sale for 2007 and can be purchased by logging onto www.fightingillini.com 24 hours a day/seven days a week, calling the ticket office at 866-ILLINI-1 or visiting the Athletic Ticket Office at the North Box Office of the Assembly Hall. Single-game ticket sales begin on July 23.
