EAST LANSING, MI.- The Orange and Blue women's golf team currently sits in 7th place after firing a 313 during third round action at the 2007 Big Ten Championships at the par-72, 6,237-yard Forest Akers West Golf Course hosted by Michigan State University. Illinois currently has a team total of 947, carding rounds of 320 and 314 on Friday, respectively.

The Illini remain led by senior captain Meghan Naik, who tallied a 75 during play today, tying her at 230 with Indiana's Anita Gahir after 54-holes.

Following Naik are juniors Casey Burden (80-80-77=237) tied for 24th and Kristine Cook (79-81-82=242) tied for 40th. Junior Seul Ki Park follows closely, currently tied for 45th (83-79-81=243), and junior Stephanie Mory is currently tied for 49th (80-84-81=245). Fellow junior Kristin Kallergis rounds out day-two play in 65th (90-93-80=263), respectively.

Host Michigan State (890) remains the leader after day-two action, followed by Purdue (913) and Northwestern (921).
