LEXINGTON, Ky. - Illinois finished the Wildcat Fall Invitational in 10th place after a final round score of 325 on Monday. The Orange and Blue posted a tournament total of 940 at the University Club's 6,157-yard par 72 Big Blue Course. The Illini began the day in seventh after yesterday's season-low round of 304.
Senior Seul Ki Park (74-73-79-226) led the scoring for the Illini with a final round 79 to finish tied for 16th. Senior Kristin Kallergis (76-78-82-236) finished tied for 40th after posting a final round 82. Senior Kristine Cook (84-77-81-242) shot an 81 on Monday, tying for 54th. Seniors Casey Burden (77-82-85-244) and Stephanie Mory (86-76-83-245) finished in 58th and tied for 59th, respectively.
Park carded her third top 20 finish of the year, while leading Illinois in all three tournaments of the fall season. Park and Kallergis each notched tournament-low rounds this weekend.
No. 15 Alabama (292-290-295-877) finished eight shots ahead of No. 5 Florida (295-292-298-885) to win the tournament. Arkansas (298-301-299-898) finished in third, while No. 23 Kentucky (301-305-304-910) and No. 44 Mississippi St. (311-307-303-921) rounded out the top five.
Alabama's Courtney Harter earned medalist honors with three-under 213, while teammate Camilla Lennarth finished one behind with a two-under 212.
Illinois will be in back in action next week as they head to Franklin, Ind., for the Shootout at the Legends on Oct. 8-9.
