University of Illinois Head Football Coach Ron Zook announced the signing of junior college standout, Daniel Dufrene of the College of the Sequoias to a letter of intent during the December junior college signing period. Dufrene will be joining the Illini in January to begin school and go through spring workouts with the returning squad.
"We are very excited about Daniel joining the Illini family," Zook said. "We knew going into next season and specifically spring ball, it would be important for us increase our numbers at the running back position and Daniel offers a great amount of speed and athleticism which will add to the depth of the position."
