JERICHO BEACH PARK, Vancouver, B.C. - Illinois prize recruit Danelle Woods won the Canadian Cross Country Junior Championships on Saturday, Dec. 2. The Ottawa, Ontario product finished the 5,000-meter race with a time of 18:08.9.

Woods signed a national letter of intent with the University of Illinois on Nov. 10 and will join the Fighting Illini women's cross country team in the fall of 2007.
