Session I and II Rotations in PDF format
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The NCAA has announced the teams and rotation order for each of the April 2 qualifying sessions of this years NCAA National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics Championships, which will be held on the campus of the University of Illinois April 2-4.
Top-ranked Illinois will compete in Session II (7 p.m. CT) and will be up against No. 4 California, No. 5 Ohio State, No. 8 Stanford, No. 10 Nebraska and No. 11 Minnesota. Session I (1 p.m. CT) will feature No. 2 and two-time defending champion Oklahoma, No. 3 Penn State, No. 6 Iowa, No. 7 Michigan, No. 9 Illinois-Chicago and No. 12 Army. In addition to the team competition, individual all-arounders and event qualifiers will also be competing for a shot at Saturday's finals.
The top three teams from each qualifying session will advance to Saturday's team finals, along with the top three all-arounders not on qualifying teams and the top three individuals on each event not already qualified with a team or as an all-arounder in each session.
On Saturday, the team and all-around champions will be crowned, while the top eight competitors on each event will advance to Sunday's individual event finals. If there are ties for the eighth position, up to 10 individuals will advance. If more than 10 individuals are tied for the top eight spots, National Qualifying Average (NQS) will be used to break ties until the field is down to 10.
