Miami, Ohio - The Fighting Illini divers completed the Miami Invitational a little earlier than expected. On Sunday, the platform dive competition was dropped due to a low amount of enteries. The Illini ended up finishing the invitational in 11th place out of the 11 team field with a 106 pts, but all the points were earned by the divers since no swimmers were present for the team.

On Saturday, Lisa Fish led the way for the two Illini divers as she finished fifth in the 3-meter with 370.55 points. Freshman Jackie Bain finished seventh in the 3-meter earning 292 points.

The Illini squad will travel to the Island of Hawaii January 1-12 for a training trip. The next event will be against Michigan and Notre Dame in Ann Arbor on January 16-17.
