CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Today's home opener for the University of Illinois baseball team has been cancelled because of weather. No makeup date has been set for the game originally scheduled against Western Illinois today at 4:05 p.m. Illinois will travel to Bradley on Wednesday before opening the Big Ten season this weekend at home against Iowa.

The Fighting Illini have added a game to their schedule to take the place of the home opener rainout. The Orange and Blue will take on St. Joseph's at Illinois Field Monday, May 8 at 6:35 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WDWS Radio in Champaign, and webcast here on fightingillini.com. <>
