CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The second-ranked Illinois men's gymnastics team will
travel to Minneapolis to take on No. 7 Minnesota in a Big Ten dual meet,
Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
The Illini (5-2 overall, 3-2 in the Big Ten) will be led by top-ranked
all-arounder Leo Oka and seven-time All-American Travis Romagnoli. Oka placed
second in the all-around at last week's Windy City Invitational, but his
score of 57.00 in the event against UIC is still the nation's best this
season. Romagnoli, who sat out for the second half of the 1999 season, has
battled back and posted the second-best high bar score in the nation.
The Illini defeated Minnesota in the two teams' only meeting this year at The
Windy City Invitational.
