The Illinois Women's Golf team dropped their score by 11 strokes today at the Lady Northern Tournament. The Illini shot a 334 on the 6,033 yard, par 72, University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin.

Laurin Kanda (Chico, CA/ Pleasant Valley HS) Lead the Illini again today. The freshman dropped one place to 12th after her second round 77. Her two-day total is 153 shots.

Freshman Renata Young (Rogers. Ark./Bentonville HS) improved on the second day of the tournament. She moved from 87th to 79th after her second round 85. Her total is now 175.

Senior Nell Macke (Marshall, Ill./Marshall HS) also contributed to the score with an 89 bringing her total to 176. The other contributing golfer today was senior Lorette Lyttle (West Palm Beach, Fla./Benjamin HS). She shot an 83 today, however she was disqualified yesterday. She does not have a two-day score.

The Fighting Illini look to continue improving as they wrap up play in the Lady Northern tomorrow.
