Began at Illinois:
Tyler Block was named the Director of Compliance in November 2022. 

Education:
Block earned his bachelor's degree in political science with a concentration in Pre-Law in 2014 from Savannah State University in Savannah, Ga. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2019.

Responsibilities:
In his current role, Block’s main responsibilities will be to develop and conduct a comprehensive rules education program for the Fighting Illini baseball, men's golf, women's golf, softball, soccer, and track & field/cross country programs. 

Past Experience:
Before joining the Illini compliance staff, Block previously served for one year at the University of South Florida as Assistant Director for Compliance. Block also had previous stops in the Compliance Office's at the University of Notre Dame, Georgia Southern University, and North Carolina Central University.
