Education:
Wang graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor's degree in communication. She then attended the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands for a pre-master's program in communication science. Most recently, Wang earned a Master of Science degree in sports administration from Boston College, along with a certification in student-athlete development.
Responsibilities:
As an assistant learning specialist, Wang supports a group of at-risk student-athletes by enhancing their study skills, time management, organizational abilities, and academic confidence.
Past Experience:
Wang previously held the position of assistant learning specialist at Boston College. Before that, she worked as a study coach and content tutor in the athletics department at Wake Forest University.
Personal:
Born and raised in Shenzhen, China, Wang came to the U.S. as an international student during her sophomore year of high school. She is particularly dedicated to supporting international student-athletes and is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), where she serves on several subcommittees. Wang currently lives in Champaign with her Goldendoodle, Coco.
