Robert Arnheim is in his second year on the Fighting Illini coaching staff in 2015 after spending the prevous two seasons as a graduate assistant at Western Michigan, where he also was an All-MAC receiver. Arnheim assists with the offensive skill positions at Illinois.

In 2013, Arnheim served as Western Michigan's assistant quarterbacks coach, where he developed practice scripts, conducted self-scouting reports, ran the defensive scout team, assisted with special teams and served as on-field liaison to the offensive coordinator on game day.

In his first year on the Bronco staff, Arnheim was the assistant receivers coach and compiled weekly passing quality control charts and scouting reports, worked with receivers and special teams during practice and the scout secondary and special teams units. On game day, he signaled plays, assisted with communication of personnel and served as liaison with coaches in the press box.

Arnheim racked up 1,696 career receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 151 receptions, which ranks eighth in WMU history. An All-MAC performer in 2009, his four career 100-yard games stand 12th in program history. Arnheim also served as a team captain and earned the Mike Gary Sportsmanship Award at the team's postseason banquet in 2011.
