Makenzie Dugger joined the University of Illinois Sports Medicine staff in August of 2021 working with cheerleading and assisting with secondary coverage. Prior to the Illinois, she was an assistant athletic trainer at Gardner-Webb University responsible for volleyball, women’s lacrosse, and women’s tennis. Dugger completed her masters’ degree in Sports Education from Gardner-Webb in 2020. She received her BS in Athletic Training with a minor in nutrition from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018. Dugger is a Colorado native that enjoys cheering on the other orange and blue - Denver Broncos.
