Education:
Schmidt graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in sports management/recreation. He went on to earn a master's degree in sports administration from Fort Hays State as well.

Responsibilities:
Schmidt assists fans with annual fund initiatives, sells single game, group, mini plans, and season tickets for all Illini sports. Also helps with the retainment of season ticket holders.

Past Experience:
Prior to Illinois, Schmidt was an account executive for Kansas State Athletics for just over a year, selling all ticket packages for K-State sports. He also served as a ticket office assistant with Fort Hays State Athletics for two and a half years, assisting in the ticket office. Schmidt was a event and operations intern with the Iowa Sports Foundation, where he created schedules and tournament brackets while serving as the main point of contact for summer sports programs.
