Education:
Mangold received a bachlor’s degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington in 2017. She received a master’s of science degree in sport management from the University of Florida in May 2019.

Job Responsibilities:
Mangold serves as the Assistant Academic Counselor for men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's track and field, and swimming and diving. She also serves as the co-Academic Counselor for the wrestling team.

Past Experience:
Prior to coming to Illinois, Mangold worked as the Assistant Academic Advisor for football at the University of Central Florida during the summer and fall of 2019.

From 2017-2019, while earning her master's degree at the University of Florida, she worked for the UF Athletic Department as a Student-Athlete Development Intern. She also worked as a Graduate Assistant in the UF Department of Housing and Residence Education and a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the UF College of Health and Human Performance, while participating in the 2019 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.

Personal:
Originally from Oakland, New Jersey, Mangold is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and Women Leaders in College Sports organizations. While at Florida, Mangold received a certification in Athlete Development from the Professional Association of Athlete Development Specialists (PAADS). During her time at UNCW (2013-2017), she was a Division I student-athlete on the Women's Track and Field/Cross Country team, where I was a member of the school-record holding 4x800m relay team. Mangold also served as Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a recipient of the NCAA Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship.
