Education:
Beard received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Baylor University in 2019.  She went on to earn her Master of Social Work in 2020 and her Master of Business Administration in 2021, both from Baylor as well. 

Responsibilities:
As a Learning Specialist, Beard works with a caseload of at-risk student-athletes focusing on study skills, time management, organization, and increasing academic confidence.

Past Experiences:
Beard previously served as an Assistant Learning Specialist at the University of South Carolina.  Prior to that, she served as an Academic Coach for the University of South Carolina Athletics. 

Personal:
Beard was born and raised Texas where she had only seen snow a handful of times before moving to Illinois.  She also holds a license in social work and is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals [N4A] where she sits on various subcommittees. Beard currently resides in Champaign.
