Education:
O'Herron received her B.A. in public relations and marketing from Winona State in 2017. She also received her M.S. in sport entertainment and management from the South Carolina in 2019.
Job Responsibilities:
O’Herron is responsible for building relationships with prospective and current donors and securing major gifts to support Illini student-athlete success and the growth of Illinois Athletics. O’Herron is also involved in the planning and executing of various development events and operations.
Past Experience:
Previously, O’Herron served as the Director of Baseball Operations at Illinois for three seasons. In her role, she was responsible for all team logistics including travel, scheduling, player personnel, meals, and budget, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the program, assisting with camps, cultivating relationships with program supporters, and overseeing program branding.
In her second season with the Illini, O’Herron managed a program that won the 2024 Big Ten Baseball regular season championship, set the program record for home runs, and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Prior to joining the baseball program at Illinois, O’Herron served as the academic counselor for the women’s basketball, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field, men’s and women’s cross country, and women’s swim and dive teams in the Irwin Academic Center at Illinois.
O’Herron earned her master’s degree in sport and entertainment management from South Carolina, where she worked from 2017-19 in the Dodie Anderson Student Athlete Academic Enrichment Center as a graduate assistant academic advisor for the football, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s track and field, and women’s tennis programs.
Personal:
O’Herron is an Illinois native and was a softball student-athlete at Division II Winona State University in Winona, Minn. The Warriors won 2 NSIC Championships and advanced to 3 NCAA Tournaments during her tenure.
