Hannah Hashbarger enters her second season as Illinois volleyball's director of operations in 2026.
During her first season at Illinois in 2025, the Illini posted a 13-16 record and an 8-12 mark in Big Ten play while securing a ranked road win on Sept. 28 at No. 10 Purdue, the program's highest-ranked road victory since 2021. Following the season, Taylor de Boer and Kenna Phelan were named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, while Alyssa Aguayo earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors. De Boer and Ashlyn Philpot were tabbed with AVCA All-Region First Team status, and Phelan was an All-Region Honorable Mention selection.
Hashbarger comes to Illinois following two seasons on the Regis volleyball staff, servicing as the director of operations and engagement. As the program's director of operations and engagement, Hashbarger combined her expertise in brand marketing, leadership, and program management to support the team's success.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for organization, she oversaw the program's social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), ensuring consistent branding through compelling photo and video content. Additionally, she managed email marketing campaigns to strengthen communication with fans, donors, and alumni, while fostering support for the program.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Hashbarger spent four years at Montana State University Billings, graduating in 2023. Hashbarger and her fiancé, Sam, reside in Champaign.
