• Had ten double-digit digs matches, including a season-best 19 vs. Northwestern in Huff Hall and at home vs. Iowa.

2003:
Named Academic All-Big Ten and CoSIDA Second Team All-District • Received the team's Jim Bayne Award for academic excellence • Started all 33 matches and appeared in 118 of 120 games at defensive specialist • Ranked second on the team with 310 digs • Her top matches included 17 digs vs. Clemson (8/31), 18 digs in the win over #20 Minnesota (11/7), and 16 digs vs. Ohio State (10/11) • Ranked 20th in the Big Ten in digs per game (2.63) • Earned third Varsity "I" award.
2002:
Played in all 29 matches, primarily as a defensive specialist but also saw time at libero • Ranked third on the team in digs with 198, averaging 1.85 digs per game • Recorded double figures in digs in five matches on the year, highlighted by a career-high 14 digs at Penn State (Nov. 9) • Fourth on the team with 18 service aces • Had a season-high three aces vs. BYU (Sept. 20) • Academic All-Big Ten • George Huff Award winner • Honored at Illinois' annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet for having the highest GPA among sophomore female athletes • Recipient of Jim Bayne Award for academic excellence at annual Networkers volleyball banquet • Earned second Varsity "I" award.
2001:
Played in all 30 matches as a true-freshman • Ranked second on the team with 31 service aces on the year • Tied the school record for service aces in a match with a career-high eight aces at Minnesota (Oct. 6), equaling the mark set by Sue Nucci in 1994 • Fifth on the team with 188 digs on the season • Set season highs of 13 digs on two occasions, vs. Iowa (Oct. 27) and vs. Penn State (Nov. 9) • Had a career-high three assists vs. Northwestern (Sept. 28) • Earned first Varsity "I" award.
High School
Two-year starter and captain was named team MVP after leading Naperville North to consecutive conference and regional championships • Named second-team all-state by the Chicago Tribune and all-area by the Chicago Sun-Times • Two-time all-conference selection in the DuPage Valley and two-time all-city performer by the Naperville Sun • Team captain on the Sports Performance club team that won the 2001 AAU 18-and-under national championships in Orlando, Fla.

Parents are Bob and Mary Jean Bazzetta • Majoring in finance • Has two aunts who lettered in volleyball at Illinois; Kathleen Gartland was a left-side hitter from 1975-78 and Eileen Gartland was a setter from 1976-77 • Member of Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity • Honor roll student, National Honor Society member and academic All-Conference selection • Chose Illinois because of the long family tradition and its high academic reputation.
