- Paired with first time partner, redshirt sophomore Gui Gomes, the duo defeated UCF's Manoel Alencar and Mikhail Sokolovskiy, 6-3.
- With partner Alex Brown, he handed No. 32 Simen Bratholm / Nick Brookes (Northwestern) their fourth loss of the season with a 6-4 victory.
- Clinched the match for the Illini with a win over Mathew Tsolakyan, 5-7, 6-0, 6-4, vs. UCLA on Feb. 13 at Midtown Athletic Club in Chicago.
- Won his seventh consecutive singles defeating Simon Soendergaard, 6-3, 6-3 vs. North Carolina on Feb. 9.
- In an upset, Chakravarthi defeated No. 60 William Howells, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 at Notre Dame on Feb. 6.
- With partner and sophomore Alex Brown, defeated No. 51 Georgia duo Robert Loeb/Jan Zielinski, 7-6, 9-7 at the MLK Invitational on Jan. 20. Also went undefeated in singles play at the tournament.
Freshman - 2017-18
- Clinched a team-best 10 doubles points with fellow-freshman Alex Brown
- Clinched six Illini match victories, including Illinois's 4-0 sweep of Marquette in the NCAA First Round
- Earned two ranked doubles wins with Brown during the NCAA Tournament against Vandy's No. 11 Klinger and Lowe and TCU's No. 6 Nunez and Rybakov

Brad and Marcos are great coaches and I feel like they are the best fit for me to reach my highest potential while at Illinois and hopefully after. I also really loved all of the guys on the team. It was like a big family and they made me feel welcome. After visiting, I know that was the college I wanted to go to"
