  • Parents are Ichiro and Tamae Miyoshi 
  • Has a twin sister, Yuzu, who is on the women's tennis team at Nebraska
  • Chose Illinois because of "the high academic standards and the great facilities and environment to focus on my tennis development. I felt that the coaching staff, especially Coach Brad's enthusiasm and energy, would help me to have a bright future as a professional tennis player after college."
