Brittany Perry is in her fifth year at Illinois in 2021, serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Nutrition. Perry oversees the nutrition program for all 19 sports, which provides and coordinates performance nutrition fueling, as well as nutrition education and counseling services to all Illinois student-athletes. 

Perry came to Illinois from the University of Minnesota, where she worked with the football staff for three years as the team’s first full-time Sports Dietitian. There, she was responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive sports nutrition program geared towards improving health, well-being, training, performance and recovery of their athletes.

Perry graduated with a degree in business and marketing education and a minor in nutrition in 2010 from the University of Minnesota. She then completed a dietetic internship and earned her masters of science in nutrition in 2014.

Perry was a Division I athlete at Minnesota and was a four-year hockey letterwinner for the Gophers. She served as team captain from 2009-10. 

Perry is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and an active member of CPSDA, the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association. 

Perry was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. She lives in Savoy with her husband, Travis, daughters, Paxtyn and Presley, and son, Truitt. Travis is Illinois' Associate Director, Creative Services.
