Prep Highlights: Lettered four years in softball. Played for Springfield Lightning club team in 1997 and the C.I. Heat in 1996. Lettered two years in basketball. Member of first team in school history to win a regional in women's basketball (1997-98).

Personal: Member of the College Republicans. Member of Students for Chief Illiniwek. Involved with the Pre-Health Research Colloquim. Member of LAS Council Member of Illini Pride. Hobbies include soccer, computers and reading. Favorite athlete is Dot Richardson. Favorite vacation spot is Disney World. Majoring in biology with a concentration in pre-med. Hopes to become a pediatrician. Born on December 19, 1979. Parents are Harold and Gerri Wheeler.
