Biography

Prep Highlights: Named to West Suburban Gold All-Conference team from 1996-99. Listed in the Chicago Tribune's Super 60. In 1999 was named captain of the team after serving two years as co-captain. Named All-Academic in 1999 and 1998. Four-year varsity player. Listed on Press Publications All-Area Team in 1999 and 1998. DuPage All-Area Honorable Mention performer from 1997-99. In 1998 batted .364 in 25 games with 17 runs batted in and four doubles. Also lettered in volleyball as a setter and basketball as a guard. Recipient of National Women in Sports Day Award for basketball in 1998-99 season as well as the Willowbrook Scholar Athlete Award for volleyball. Her 1999 volleyball team set school record for most wins. Played for DuPage Power club team in summers of 1998 and 1999 and finished third in state.

Personal: Received the 1999 Golden Apple scholar award. In 1999 was named Illinois All-State All-Academic Honorable Mention. An Illinois State Scholar. Member of Mu Alpha Theta. Winner of District 88 Human Relations Award. Member of National Honor Society. Majoring in secondary education. Born on March 1, 1981. Parents are Dominic and Christine Colantuono.
