Prep Highlights: Participated in Morris Summer League as well as high school. Named Most Improved Player on 1994 team. Member of a Morris squad that won three Prairie Central Conference Championships and one regional championship. Junior year in 1995 batted .315 with 10 RBI. During her senior year, started in 23 of 27 games and finished with a .271 average, 13 RBI and four doubles. Was a state qualifier in tennis in 1994 and 1995. Also played basketball for Morris. Softball coach was John Mackinson.
